Description

This installation was developed and exhibited in the Digital Arts class at Die Angewandte. A mirror mounted on a motorised swivel detects faces with computer vision. As soon as a person steps in front of it, the mirror repositions itself, making it impossible to hold eye contact with your own reflection for more than a moment.

The piece also generated composite frames combining multiple detected faces into surreal portraits that were shown next to the physical mirror.
